FAQ About this Recipe

Can I use a different protein flavour?

Yes! Any vanilla or caramel-based WPI will work well here. That said, the White Choc Caramel flavour from Protein Supplies Australia really does take the buttery richness to another level, it's worth trying as written first.

Can I swap the nut butter in the base?

Absolutely. Almond butter, cashew butter, or even sunflower seed butter all work great. Just make sure it's a smooth variety so the dough comes together properly.

How long does it keep?

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can also freeze individual slices for up to 4 weeks, just thaw in the fridge overnight before eating.

Is this recipe suitable for dairy-free diets?

The base and caramel layers are naturally dairy-free. Just check your dark chocolate label, as some brands contain traces of milk. Swap to a certified dairy-free dark chocolate and you're good to go.
