✔️ 1 scoop vanilla plant-based protein powder

Alright, late to the party but finally on board—the baked oats craze is the real deal. If you’ve got a sweet tooth but still want a high-protein brekkie that fuels your morning, this one’s a beauty. With creamy banana, warm vanilla, and a drizzle of honey, it’s basically dessert disguised as breakfast—and your body will thank you for every bite.

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan-forced).

  2. In an oven-safe dish, mash half the banana. Add oats, protein powder, maca powder, vanilla paste, and baking soda.

  3. Pour in almond milk and mix until just combined.

  4. Top with remaining banana slices and choc chips.

  5. Bake for around 10–12 minutes, or until golden on top.

  6. Finish with a drizzle of honey (and a dollop of peanut butter if you're feeling fancy).

Can I prep this the night before?

You sure can! Mix everything (except toppings) the night before, cover, and pop it in the fridge. Just bake fresh in the morning.

What can I use instead of almond milk?

Any milk works—soy, oat, dairy, whatever you’ve got in the fridge. Just keep the same quantity.

Is it okay to leave out the protein powder?

Yep! It won’t have the same protein hit, but it'll still taste great. You might want to add a touch more oats or reduce the milk slightly for consistency.

What’s maca powder and do I really need it?

Maca powder is a plant-based superfood known for energy and immune support. Totally optional—leave it out or swap with cinnamon for flavour.

Can I double the recipe?

Too easy. Just use a larger baking dish and you might need a couple of extra minutes in the oven—keep an eye on the top for that golden colour.
